Club Details and Membership

MAC meetings take place on the first Wednesday of the month (except July - no meeting). Anyone and everyone is welcome to come along. You do not need to be a member to attend. Our meetings are informal, and cater to all levels. Children are welcome to come along, but those under 13 should be accompanied with an adult.


MAC Membership

The membership fee, once paid, entitles the member to the following benefits:

  • Free use of the Club library, filled with books and magazines.
  • Free use of any the clubs 4 telescopes (subject to availability!) and 4 binoculars.
  • Free astronomical handouts.
  • Insurance cover for special and/or limited MAC events.
  • These include private events on the MAC Observatory Site.
  • A price reduction (where possible) on daytrips and other special events.


Membership Fee

The current 2017 membership fee is:

1 Year (From Jan 1st)
Full - €20 / Family (2+ members) - €30

Memberships for the new season are due on or as soon as possible after the January AGM, and last for that year until December.

Lectures Attendance is €2 for all attendees. Handouts, Observing Aids, and our monthly newsletter are given out at no cost..

Lecture Venue: Charleville Centre Tullamore Co. Offaly at 8pm
