Photos from MAC's attempt to cath the Transit of Venus on the morning of June 6th 2012. After our Tuesday night lecture (presented by Seanie Morris), those who were camping overnight went to our chosen spot on the land at Annaharvey Farm. Tents were errected, food was bought and the barbecue was on standby for breakfast after the Transit the following dawn. We got to have a clear patch for over an hour after 00:45hrs to do some observing before retiring to our tents till 04:30hrs. Then, we got up, set up our equipment and waited for the cloud to part - which never happened! Still, we had fun and a tasty sausage and juice breakfast afterwards. Roll on 2117!
